What is design?

-Design is to prepare the preliminary sketch or the plans for (a work to be executed), eg. to
plan the form of structure of: to design a new bridge.
-Design is to plan and fashion artistically or skillfully
-Design is about creating a product that has a distinctive look or feel about it. Different disigners
have differnet ideas so the products they create do not look the same. For examples, look at

Design and Technology (also D&T, D.T, or Craft and Design in Scotland) is a National Curriculum academic subject of the UK educational system that can be taken at all levels from primary school upwards. It is also offered in several other countries such as Brunei, Bermuda, and Botswana. Many international schools have courses. Design is about being innovative. We can improve product like handphones and many other things in the world using the advance technology avalible in the modern days.
We can also use many type of materials to design things like house furnitures, things for decorations and etc. Here are some of the examples of the basics materials; wood , metal, plastics, ceramics, glass, minerals and etc.

jagged lines: represent a sense of boldness.

crisp lines: represent youthfulness and funlightning bolts.
